If you know Reese, you know that he is against any weather that may make him wet or extremely cold. If the weather is either one of those you usually have to make him go outside to potty, he will not go voluntarity. Well, with all of this snow that Dallas has had we were curious to see how he would react. Thursday night Justin took him outside and he was very unsure about the snow. He ended up going to the bathroom in the street (because the snow was so high every time he leaned down to potty the snow touched his rear end), attacking a snowman that the kids down the street built, and barking at some ice that was sliding off of our neighbors car. Justin and I thought this was very funny, Reese did not. Well Friday came and Justin and I both had a snow day because of the weather. Woo-hoo! We were both excited to have some time off to hang out and be lazy. We decided that since the snow has never been this way in Dallas that we should take advantage of it by building a snow man. Thinking that Reese would hate the snow Justin took him out to go potty before we ventured off to play in the snow. Much to my surprise, Justin called and told me to come look outside. Reese was running around like crazy in the snow! We were both so surprised, but happy that he had come around. We decided to let him come out with us while we built our snowman. The finished product! The grapes we planned on using for his mouth wouldn't stick so we used part of Reeses' collar. We decided he was a teenage snowman with braces.
After eating lunch and warming up, our friends Jeremy and Shannon came over and we (I say "we" very lightly because the boys did most of the work) built a 6 foot snowman! It was awesome and so much fun!
Later that night we went to the imax and saw Avitar in 3D. It was such a good movie, not to mention the cool glasses we got to wear :-)
For Valentine's Day Justin had roses sent to my school. They are BEAUTIFUL!!! Although we decided to save our money for the stuff we are going to buy for our house instead of buying specific Valentine's Day gifts this year, the flowers were a very nice surprise. Saturday night I cooked dinner for us and we stayed in by the fire and watched the Olympics. It was a nice way to celebrate "the day of love". (yes- we ate on our coffee table because we have lots of fragile things boxed up on our table)
Ok, this is getting long so I will wrap it up after this. I have learned how to make these really cute fabric flowers (thanks to my friend Ashlan). Aren't they awesome?
