Love Is...

Being an elementary school teacher is so fun sometimes. One of my favorite parts about it is the creativity of the kids and how apparent that is in their work. Well, when deciding how to do decorate our door (well, actually the wall next to my door) for Valentine's Day I decided to get the kids involved. They were given some di-cut hearts, colored construction paper, markers and crayons. The only rule was that they had to describe love using the lead "love is". They turned out really cute!! The picture just doesn't do some of them justice! I know it is hard to read them, so I have typed out some of the things they wrote down.

"Love is laughing at your friend's joke even if it isn't funny"

"Love is hugs and kisses"

"Love is when a boy likes a girl and they get tender feelings in their hearts"

"Love is when a boy looks at a girl with google eyes"

"Love is kissing your brother"

"Love is playing and not fighting"

"Love is going to your friends house when you have a lot of homework so they won't be lonely"

"Love is when you mom gives you a kiss before you have brushed your teeth"

Let's spred the love this February, no matter what your definition!
